German silver, Nicke silver, Manganin, Kunial

German silver comes from the German word Neusilber, translated into Russian the “new money” in the composition of the alloy containing copper alloy nickel (5 – 35%) and zinc (13 – 45%). Melchior – copper-nickel alloy with a nickel content in the range 18 – 20%. This refers to the decorative metal alloys. Despite its beautiful silver color. Manganin – heat-resistant alloy, which is based include copper (~ 85%) doped with manganese (11.5 – 13.5%) and a small addition of nickel (2.5 – 3.5%). Metal is characterized by a very small change in electrical resistance at room temperature. In production is used for the manufacture of electrical appliances and resistance measurements. Maximum temperature of operation for devices using manganin 300 ° C.

Kunial – an alloy of copper with the addition of nickel (from 40 to 20%) and low content of aluminum (1 – 4%). It used in the production of parts requiring a good material strength, high corrosion resistance and cold resistance
